Pilot programme — Nigeria

Community safety, connected

SENTRI links residents, neighbourhood leaders, and businesses into a single early-warning network — faster alerts, coordinated response, and safer communities across Nigeria.

The problem

Nigerian communities deserve better than WhatsApp panic

Warnings arrive too late

Security incidents spread by word-of-mouth or group chats — fragmented, slow, and easily missed.

No coordinated response

Residents act in isolation. There is no single channel for leaders to issue directives or verify reports.

No accountability trail

When an incident occurs, there is rarely a clear record of who knew what, when, and who responded.

How it works

From report to alert in under 60 seconds

01

Incident reported

A resident or patrol officer files an incident report — location, type, photos — directly from the SENTRI app.

02

Leader verifies

A Ward Lead or Estate Coordinator reviews the report and marks it verified or escalated to higher authority.

03

Alert dispatched

A push notification (and SMS fallback) goes out to every registered resident in the affected communities within seconds.

04

Community checks in

Residents confirm their status — safe, unsafe, displaced, or needs help — giving coordinators a live welfare picture.

Our principles

Safety without surveillance

Privacy first

No tracking beyond what your community safety requires. Data stays within your network.

Lawful use only

SENTRI is built for legitimate community safety. Misuse triggers automatic account review.

Inclusive by design

SMS fallback ensures every member receives alerts, even without a smartphone or data.

Community-owned

Coordinators control their community's data. SENTRI is a tool, not a surveillance platform.
