Terms of use

By registering for or using SENTRI, you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These Terms apply to all users including community members, coordinators, business contacts, and administrators.

SENTRI is currently in a closed pilot. Features, pricing, and availability may change during this period. We reserve the right to discontinue the pilot or change its terms with 14 days' notice to registered users.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm that you are 18 or older and that the information you provide is accurate.

SENTRI is provided solely for legitimate community safety purposes. You may use SENTRI to: • Report genuine safety incidents in your registered community. • Receive and respond to safety alerts. • Coordinate safety responses as an authorised coordinator. • Complete safety training modules. You may not use SENTRI for any other purpose, including commercial intelligence gathering, personal tracking of individuals, or bypassing access controls.

You must not: • Submit false, misleading, or malicious incident reports. • Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users. • Attempt to access data you are not authorised to see. • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or reproduce the platform. • Share your login credentials with any other person. • Use SENTRI to coordinate unlawful activities. Violations will result in immediate account suspension and may be referred to appropriate authorities.

If you hold a coordinator role (Ward Lead, Estate Coordinator, Zone Manager, or Administrator), you accept additional responsibilities: • Verify incident reports promptly and in good faith. • Send alerts only for genuine, verified incidents. • Treat welfare check-in data confidentially. • Complete all required training modules before exercising your role. • Report any suspected misuse to SENTRI immediately.

Your use of SENTRI is subject to our Privacy Policy (sentrinetwork.org/privacy), which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

We aim to keep SENTRI available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We are not liable for any harm arising from temporary unavailability, especially in emergency situations. SENTRI is a supplementary tool and should never be your sole means of emergency communication.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SENTRI and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of or inability to use the platform. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid (if any) in the preceding 12 months.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for breach of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@sentrinetwork.org. On termination, your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated at least 14 days in advance. Continued use of SENTRI after the effective date of any change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
